Toys

The words Marx, Ideal, Remco and Mattel were all you had to say as Christmas approached.  Children immediately recognized the importance of these companies to their lives.  The technological accomplishments of the decade had robots and spaceships under every tree.  Spy toys, Barbie Dolls, Easy-Bake Ovens and Battleship games replaced the baseball and toy vacuum cleaners.  Our futures were changing and that was reflected in the toys we played with.

The Sixties Museum will allow you to revisit the toys of days past, with the Sixties Toy Exhibit.  Whether is was your favorite toy or the one you always wanted, bring the children to our home and let them see what you played with.

The toys directly mirrored the times.  Our fantasies and dreams were tied to a rocket, and there was nothing we couldn't do and nothing we couldn't become.

Visit the Sixties Toy Exhibits and children's 60's play area. Support the Sixties Museum and find a home for some lost toys.
