     The Sixties Museum is pleased to announce that is has received 501(c)(3) charitable recognition from the Internal Revenue Service.  This affords the museum the full recognition of its educational and preservation efforts.  Contributions to the Sixties Museum, Inc. are now fully tax deductible within the guidelines for contributions posted by the IRS.  This is effective January 2001 and subject to review after December 31, 2005.

     The Board of Directors will now be able to secure a broader range of funding options for the museum and its programs.  The charitable recognition also affords the museum greater recognition amongst similar institutions.
