The hardware that put us on the moon is rusting, the early works of the Civil Rights Movement are gathering mildew, some of the most unique and priceless pieces of history are decaying.  Everyday we loose the documentation that motivated us to equality and the Women's Rights Movement.  Poster art and literary works are turning yellow.  We MUST preserve these items for the future, with your help.

Personal Donations

Your gift of an exhibit item or money will help the museum both in the preservation of a  priceless piece of history, but will also enable the museum to keep the spirit of the Sixties alive with scholarships for youth, educational teaching units for schools and historical studies. If you wish your donations to go toward a particular program, just visit our program page and mention your selection with your donation.

Our new annual membership rates are as follows.  An individual membership is
$35.00 with a family membership of $100.00.  A donation of $250.00 makes you a
Preservationist and a donation of $1000.00 makes you a member of the museum’s
Founders.  Life memberships are available for donations of $5000.00 or more.

Individual benefits:

A Sixties Museum t-shirt, our monthly newsletter and quarterly museum magazine

Family benefits:

Includes the above with 3 t-shirts and half price adult and free children’s
admission to museum events for the entire year.

Preservationist:

Includes the above, with free admission for up to 4 family members to museum
events, and special invitations to meet celebrity guests and musicians.

Life Membership:

This donation entitles members to receive all the above and free admission for
life to the supporter and immediate family.

All contributors are mentioned in the annual reporting and all memberships of
$100 or more will include invitations to the private opening party for the
museum.  We expect to add benefits as the museum evolves, and will give
preference to our early supporters.

Did you know that your donation can be something besides 60's items?

Your donations can consist of most any items from cars and trucks to property, art and jewelry.  The museum can turn any gift that is not 60's related into cash to fund our programs and operations.  And, best of all, the fair market value of the item is tax-deductible.  You can help promote scholarships, education and preservation by getting rid of those items you no longer want, while supporting an IRS recognized charity.  So e-mail us with your donations as donations@60smuseum.org.

Corporate Donations

Your corporate gift of an exhibit item or money will assist the museum both in the preservation of a priceless piece of history, and will also enable the museum to keep the spirit of the Sixties alive with scholarships, educational teaching units and historical studies. If you wish your donations to go toward a particular program, just visit our program page and mention your selection, with your donation.  Corporate donors and sponsors will be listed in our Benefactor Log and mentioned in our annual report. In addition, corporate sponsors will receive mention in our publications, publicity releases, educational units, traveling exhibits and in materials relating to their sponsored programs.   Most of all, your corporate gift will assure that the art, music, media, theater and spirit of the Decade that Changed the World, will be preserved for today's youth and for the future.

We are a virtual Web museum that is looking for a physical home.  Our goal is a permanent location in 2011.
