Taking The Sixties To The People

Boat Anchor Racing

In the spirit of the 60's, Boat Anchor is proud to run

a stock ,1964 "409" cubic inch Chevrolet engine

with Z11 cam, MSD ignition, 750 QuickFuel carburetor, custom headers

by Trick Chassis of Clinton, WI, and a racing powerglide trans build by Dr. Evil,

Roadmaster Transmissions of Schaumburg, IL.

And best of all it sports The Sixties Museum on its side!

See this racer do the quarter in 9.66 seconds at speeds exceeding 136 mph.

Tony and Bonnie Salins are doing the IHRA Summit Super Series Bracket Races,

and are regulars at Byron, Cordova and Route 66 Raceway

Tony and Bonnie like to let kids sit in the car and love to talk racing!

The car has been featured at Mundelein Park on Park, SRLCA Benefit Car Shows, has been at McHenry Fiesta Days, and cruises the Libertyville Dog'n Suds and Richmond Cruise Nights.  Bonnie and Tony have even been featured on the "I Love My Car" segment of ABC's Channel 7, Chicago morning news.

Check them out Labor Day, and tell them thanks for supporting the museum!
