The Sixties Museum Scholarship Fundraiser

Chicago, IL—April 7 , 2005— The Sixties Museum is having a Scholarship benefit for the museum's scholarship fund.  Featuring The New Invaders, perhaps the best 60's Cover Band on the planet, the museum hopes to raise funds to institute its scholarships supporting the creative arts.

The event will take place at the Sheraton Chicago NW on May 7, from 7 to midnight.  Door prizes and free parking are available.  Admission is $10.00 per person at the door.

The Sixties Museum will document and preserve all the events of that decade, including The Space Race, Vietnam, Civil Rights, Women’s Liberation,  The Cold War and all the changes in lifestyle and music.  The museum will use cutting edge technology to transport the visitor back forty years.  It will include a toy museum, classrooms and a living Vietnam Memorial that will put a face to the name of those who served and died.

Site selection is in progress and soon, The Sixties Museum will provide a previously unavailable, step back, into a decade filled with struggles and memories for countless baby boomers and their children.    For more information visit www.60smuseum.org for tickets or call (847) 214-8532.
