The Sixties Museum 2004 Band Reunion and Hall of Fame Announcement

Chicago, IL—September 24, 2004— Relive the hot summer nights at the local teen club and hear Sixties music by the original artists at the Sixties Museum 2004 Band Reunion and Benefit.  Hear Jamestown Massacre, Jimy Rogers and The Mauds, listen to G-L-O-R-I-A  by Jimy Sohns from the Shadows of Knight, enjoy blues with Joe Kelley and take a trip through the Sixties with The New Invaders.  These musicians and many others are joining the Sixties Museum on November 13 at Pop’s Sports Bar in Roselle  to raise money for The Sixties Museum that is coming to Chicago.

The Sixties Museum will document and preserve all the events of that decade, including The Space Race, Vietnam, Civil Rights, Women’s Liberation,  The Cold War and all the changes in lifestyle and music.  The museum will use cutting edge technology to transport the visitor back forty years.  It will include a toy museum, classrooms and a living Vietnam Memorial that will put a face to the name of those who served and died.  The museum also will announce its Hall of Fame awards for 2004 at the event, with the awards to be presented early next year.  Admission is $20.00 and you must be 21.  Pop’s is at Nerge and Plum Grove Road in Roselle.  The event will start at 7 pm and run until closing.  Donations are tax deductible.

Site selection is in progress and soon, The Sixties Museum will provide a previously unavailable, step back, into a decade filled with struggles and memories for countless baby boomers and their children.    For more information visit www.60smuseum.org for tickets or call (847) 214-8532.
