The Sixties Museum and The Lake County Discovery Museum were proud to be an exhibitor of Linda McCartney’s “Sixties - Portrait of an Era”. The highly acclaimed exhibition featured 50 photographs of rock, R&B, and folk music icons including Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, the Rolling Stones, Arlo Guthrie, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, B.B. King, and of course, The Beatles. The exhibit opened April17, 2004 and ran through July 25! Included were items from the Sixties Museum collection. This was the only place in the Chicago area, where you could see these items. Help support the Sixties Museum, so we can continue to have exhibits like this! Write to this address and help us convince Paul McCartney to permanently house the exhibit at the Sixties Museum once it has finished traveling. We will build a Linda McCartney exhibit documenting her works of the 60's! MPL Communications,
Inc. Thank you all for attending, especially Sam Leach, the First Beatles Promoter, and we hope to see you at our next event! Click here for pictures from the closing event
