B.B.King once said "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." The Sixties Library will preserve and maintain the information of one of the most influential decades in history. Help make it happen, with donations of books, photographs, newspapers, flyers, etc. from your basement or attic. These books and materials will be preserved and made available to students and historians, who will benefit from the vast knowledge within these works. The Sixties Library will be a repository for documentaries, fiction, historic accounts, plays, music and other historical documentation. Writings on Vietnam, Civil Rights, social freedoms and protest will be next to the works of great authors and historians. Play scripts, underground newspapers and the writings of those proposing social reform and liberty will be available to educate, and to provide a true perspective on the thoughts and moods of the decade. We need your support to make this happen. Help us preserve those old underground newspapers, those early Civil Rights flyers, Free Theater scripts and any other educational materials you have. The Sixties Museum will make sure they are now available to generations of people who are curious about the decade. Copyright © 2010 by The Sixties Museum. All rights reserved. |
