Who can forget where they were when JFK was shot? Remember the horror when we saw Robert Kennedy shot right before our eyes. The influence they had on an entire generation, the political impact they had and the personal and family image they projected seemed to be a part of the Sixties scene. Women dressed like Jackie Kennedy. Men styled their hair like JFK and Robert. These men perhaps saved us from World War III and their reward for all this was an assassins bullet. Despite later evidence of questionable actions on the part of JFK, he led the mightiest nation through several major political and military confrontations. Yet the family image he portrayed and the stable and religious overtones of his administration mad us all feel safe and secure, despite air raid drills and the constant threat of war. The Sixties Museum will document and display the memorabilia and the story of a family that influenced the world even today. Support our efforts and help us teach our youth about values and strengths that can surface even in the most unstable of times.
